Venison plays a very important role as a by-product of deer management. It provides us with an excellent source of meat, harvested from animals that have lived a free and natural life.

We encourage all our clients to take the venison from any deer that they shoot, for their own consumption. Venison remains the property of the estate and may be purchased at the current market rate.

When it is not possible for clients to take the venison themselves (due to lack of freezer space, etc) we sell the carcass to a licensed game dealer.

Venison is processed by game dealers in an Approved Game Handling Establishment. It then enters the food chain through restaurants, butchers and supermarkets. Venison is an excellent meat and tastes fantastic. It is very healthy, low in cholesterol and high in protein and is EASY and versatile to cook with.
